EXTRA DETAILS: This piece is a favorite of mine and was created for a very special friend. When we search for our true meaning we sometimes find ourselves on a very long and winding road. What is up ahead of us is unknown and sometimes it takes faith to know it will be what we are looking for.  Through all the challenges we face we discover who we truly are and what we truly want.  Only you can walk this road… only you can discover the happiness that lies just over the hill.  Little do you know your friends and family will always be there to greet you on the other side with open arms.

EXTRA DETAILS:  I love a good rain storm. I have wonderful childhood memories of thunderstorms back in Ontario Canada, and watching them comes across the lake.  We would wait until the rain arrived then run for cover, sometimes we would make it and sometimes we got soaked. Either way it was always worth it.  The smell in the air, the sound of rain on the roof, counting between thunder cracks and lightening, watching and waiting till we could run outside again.

EXTRA DETAILS:  I created this piece one evening while having a painting party with a bunch of friends.  The inspiration came from colors I wanted in my living room and surfing the web for sunset photos.  I called the piece “Tomorrow” because while you watch the sunset in the evening sky you know dawn brings a new day, a new beginning. What’s in the past is gone, tomorrow brings a new future.

EXTRA DETAILS:  I created this piece for friend’s beach house.  For those who live in Northern California you may recognize the inspiration, Aptos CA. The request for this piece was a combination of many perspectives, so technically this actual view does not exist.  In creating this piece, I really wanted to ensure the colors where right for the final creation. EXTRA DETAILS:  I had a ton of fun creating this piece for my brother’s new country single called “Drink Along Song.  I was excited he asked for unique artwork and video based on the song and how it made me feel.  The song is upbeat, makes you want to sing along and the piece created from its inspiration is vibrant, alive and colorful.  We can always use more fun in our lives… kick back, relax, and enjoy good music with a cold cocktail.

EXTRA DETAILS:  I created a piece years ago using the technique of blowing through a soda straw.  It had been a long time since I had created something, so thought I would create “The Fire Dance”.  I’m inspired by the way paint dances with itself. Depending on how much you have watered down the color they interact in different ways.  Some take the lead and others follow.  I true dance, a partnership,  creating something beautiful.

EXTRA DETAILS: I created this piece for my brother’s new country single “A Beautiful Moment In time” (jamiewarren.com).  It was very special to me to create a piece that spoke to the song’s lyrics.  Some have asked me why I muted the painting with a spray bottle… my interpretation of the song is moments in time are there and then they’re gone… they are your own memories.  I created the picture as you would know it and then slowly distorted the painting as it really is… just a moment… it’s there and then it’s gone.

EXTRA DETAILS: This is one of my favorite pieces and was displayed in my living room.  Many guests were intrigued with this piece, asking me what it is.  I paint with emotion, mood, and state of mind, and not by thought.  I’m always surprised what is finally revealed at the end of my sessions.  I don’t tell people what I see in this piece… instead, I ask them what they see.  Surprising, they all say the same thing.

After doing this I realized what came through was a profile of a man looking over his shoulder. EXTRA DETAILS: This piece was created for a dear friend of mine who wanted a painting for her living room.  She provided me with a picture of a sunset.  I created this piece over a few sessions and each time got a little darker.  I love storms… on the East coast of Canada storms are something you grow up with… they can come out of nowhere, are extremely powerful but beautiful at the same time.  This is the same feeling I have for this friend… beautiful and strong.
